What is Escargo?
Escargo is garage management software for Irish garages. It brings online bookings, vehicle jobs, customer repair tracking, quote approvals, staff and payroll information, parts requests and vehicle recovery into one system — so a garage can run the whole job, and keep the customer updated, from one place.
Escargo is onboarding its first garages now, starting in the North East and Greater Dublin. This page explains exactly what it does, who it is for, and what is available today versus what is still coming.
What does Escargo do?
Escargo covers the full journey of a vehicle through a garage:
Take the booking
A branded booking page and links let customers book online, with the garage in control of services, deposits, available mechanics and daily capacity.
Run the job
Digital job cards, inspection findings with photos, quotes and approvals, and a vehicle workspace where mechanics can inspect the affected system and follow reviewed repair steps.
Keep the customer updated
A secure tracking link shows the current stage, the latest update, approved work and the balance — without extra phone calls.
Manage the team
Clock-ins, timesheets, tips, commission and approved payroll information, with staff only ever seeing their own pay.
Handle parts
Record parts requests and approvals against each job. Automatic online parts ordering arrives with the Marketplace.
Arrange recovery
Request verified vehicle collection, breakdown recovery or transport from inside the job, and keep collection, repair and return connected.
Who is Escargo for?
Escargo is built for independent garages, mechanics, tyre and body shops, mobile mechanics and vehicle recovery operators in Ireland. It is designed to be set up in an evening by the garage itself — if you can send a text message, you can set up Escargo. Recovery drivers and transport operators can also join the network to receive nearby collection and recovery work.
Straight answers
Is Escargo available in Ireland?
Yes. Escargo is built for Ireland — NCT rather than MOT, euro pricing, Irish counties and regulations. It is onboarding its first garages now, starting in the North East and Greater Dublin, and expanding as more garages and verified recovery providers join.
Does Escargo do online bookings?
Yes. Each garage gets a branded booking page and simple links, buttons and QR codes for its website, Google Business Profile and socials. The garage controls services, deposits, available mechanics, notice periods and daily workshop capacity, so customers only ever see slots that are genuinely available.
Can customers track their repair?
Yes. A job can issue a secure tracking link. The customer sees the current stage, the latest garage message, the work they have approved and the balance due. The link never exposes internal diagnostics, staff details or private notes, and tracking pages are never indexed by search engines.
Does Escargo support staff management and payroll information?
Yes. Escargo records clock-ins, timesheets, overtime, tips and commission, and organises approved payroll information for the owner. Escargo prepares and organises this information — it is not a statutory Revenue payroll-filing product, and it does not claim to be.
Does Escargo offer vehicle recovery and tow trucks?
Yes. Customers and garages can request verified vehicle collection, breakdown recovery, accident recovery and garage-to-garage transport. This currently operates across Louth, North Dublin and the routes between them, and grows as verified providers join. A customer's exact breakdown location is never shown publicly.
Can garages compare and order parts?
Parts requests and approvals against a job work today. Searching suppliers, comparing options and ordering parts online is part of the Escargo Marketplace, which is in development and clearly marked Coming soon. Nothing on the Marketplace is real until it launches — no fake products, prices or stock.
Is the Marketplace or car marketplace live?
No. Both the parts and equipment Marketplace and the future car-sourcing marketplace are marked Coming soon. When they launch they will show real suppliers, real prices and honest availability, and any import cost estimates will be clearly separated from confirmed charges.
What areas does Escargo cover?
Software features are available to any garage in Ireland that joins the pilot. Vehicle recovery and transport currently cover the North East and Greater Dublin — Drogheda, Dundalk, Ardee, Dunleer, the M1, M2 and M3 corridors, North County Dublin and Dublin Airport — expanding outward as verified providers join.
How can a business claim its profile or improve its visibility?
The public garage directory and profile-claim system are in development. Today, a garage improves its visibility by registering for the pilot, completing its Escargo profile and sharing its booking link on its website and Google Business Profile. We will never label paid placement as organic ranking.
