Then read the car’s life honestly — a six-figure-mileage Octavia with a folder of invoices is often a better buy than a low-mileage one with none, but check the wear that betrays working use: driver’s seat bolster, pedal rubbers, rear-seat belt wear from constant passengers, and door hinges on the kerbside rear.
