Terms of Service
Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 1.0 (26 August 2026)
These terms govern your use of Escargo, whether you are a customer looking for automotive help or a garage, recovery provider, detailer, tyre centre, diagnostic specialist or other automotive business using Escargo to run and grow yours.
1. What Escargo is
Escargo is an automotive marketplace, booking and business-management platform. Escargo is operated by Emmanuel Ayodeji Ademokun. Escargo connects vehicle owners with independent garages, mechanics, tyre centres, body shops, detailers, mobile technicians, diagnostic specialists and vehicle recovery providers (each a “Provider”), and gives Providers software to manage bookings, jobs, customers, quotes and payments. Escargo itself is not a garage, mechanic or recovery operator, and does not itself repair, service, recover, value, inspect or transport any vehicle.
References to “Escargo”, “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms mean the operator named above.
2. Accounts
There are two kinds of account:
- Customer accounts — for people booking services, requesting recovery, saving vehicles or leaving reviews. You must give accurate contact and vehicle details so a Provider can act on your request.
- Business accounts — for garages and other Providers who claim or register a profile, manage bookings, quote jobs, and receive payments through Escargo. You confirm you are authorised to act for the business you register, and that the information on your profile (services, pricing, availability, certifications) is accurate and kept up to date.
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Tell us straight away at hello@escargo.ie if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
3. Bookings
Escargo lets you request or book garage servicing and repair, vehicle recovery and transport, detailing, tyre fitting, diagnostics, and related automotive services from Providers on the network. A booking is a contract for services between you and the Provider you book — Escargo is the platform that connects you and carries the booking record, not a party performing the work.
4. Quotes and price estimates
Quotes and price estimates shown on Escargo are supplied by the Provider, not by Escargo. An estimate given before a vehicle is inspected may change once the Provider has physically assessed the job. Escargo does not guarantee that a final price will match an initial estimate, and any dispute about a quoted or charged price is between you and the Provider — Escargo will help surface the relevant booking and communication record if asked.
5. Payments and platform fees
Where payment is taken through Escargo, card details are processed by our payment processor and are never stored on Escargo's own servers. Escargo may charge Providers a platform or membership fee for use of the booking, job-management and payment tools; where that applies it is disclosed on the relevant pricing or account page before it is charged. Escargo does not charge customers a fee simply for browsing or requesting a quote.
6. Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Cancellation notice, cancellation charges and refund eligibility for a specific booking are set by the Provider and shown at the time of booking where available. If a Provider does not deliver a service you paid a deposit or fee for through Escargo, or you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact the Provider first using the details on your booking, then contact Escargo at hello@escargo.ie if it is not resolved. Escargo will review the booking, payment and message record and act as a neutral intermediary; Escargo is not itself liable for a Provider's quality of work, delay or failure to deliver a service, except to the extent a payment was taken by Escargo and not passed on as required.
7. Reviews and prohibited conduct
Reviews may only be left after a genuine interaction — a confirmed booking, a completed job or a verified recovery request. A review must be honest and must not contain another person's private details. Escargo does not create, buy or fabricate reviews or ratings.
You must not: provide false vehicle, identity or payment information; use Escargo to solicit business off-platform in order to avoid agreed fees; harass, threaten or defraud another user or Provider; attempt to access another account; upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content; or interfere with the normal operation of the platform. We may remove content or restrict an account that breaches this section.
8. Vehicle listings and third-party business content
Where Escargo displays a business profile, service listing, vehicle listing or other content supplied by a Provider or third party, that content is the responsibility of the party who supplied it. Escargo does not warrant the accuracy of a Provider's service description, certification claim, availability, or a listed vehicle's condition or history, and asks users to verify anything material directly with the Provider before relying on it.
9. Escargo's role versus the independent Provider
Providers on Escargo are independent businesses, not Escargo employees, agents or franchisees. Escargo does not control how a Provider carries out a repair, service or recovery, does not set a Provider's opening hours, capacity or technical standards, and is not responsible for the standard of a Provider's work. Escargo's role is to provide the marketplace, booking, communication and payment infrastructure that connects customers and Providers.
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@escargo.ie — see our data deletion instructions. Escargo may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, is used fraudulently, or poses a risk to other users, Providers or the platform, and will where reasonably possible explain why.
11. Intellectual property
The Escargo name, logo, platform design and software are owned by Escargo or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or used without permission. Content you submit (reviews, photos, business descriptions) remains yours; by posting it you give Escargo a licence to display it on the platform for the purpose it was submitted for.
12. Service availability
Escargo is under active development. Some features described on the site are live today; others are labelled “coming soon” on the Trust centre and are not yet available. Provider coverage is currently concentrated in Louth, Meath and North Dublin and will not yet reach every location. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform and may carry out maintenance that temporarily limits access.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under the laws of Ireland.
Subject to that, Escargo's liability to you for loss arising from your use of the platform is limited to direct losses that were reasonably foreseeable, and Escargo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts, omissions, workmanship or pricing of an independent Provider. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of Escargo, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your own country of residence.
15. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially we will update the effective date above and, where reasonably practicable, tell registered users. Continuing to use Escargo after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
